Does this sound familiar?

You're not alone, and you're not behind.

  • Money stress is quietly stealing your peace
  • You and your spouse have stopped talking about money to avoid another fight
  • You're a single parent carrying every money decision on your own
  • Debt payments (hello, car loan) feel like they'll never end
  • You've tried strict budgets before and they didn't stick
  • You know you need a plan, but don't know where to start

What I help with

A plan that fits your real life.

A paycheck plan that works

Bills, Buckets & Buying: cover your bills, fill buckets for the irregular stuff, and know exactly what's left to spend, without tracking every purchase.

Getting out of debt

A payoff plan that fits you, whether that's the snowball, highest interest first, or your own order, with real momentum.

Saving for goals

An emergency fund, a family vacation, a car you pay cash for, or a house. We'll map out how to get there.

Getting on the same page

For couples: plan together and stop fighting about money. For single parents: someone in your corner.

Meet your coach

Hi, I'm Adam.

Money touches everything in our lives: our dreams, our marriage, stress, and our families. That's why I believe that when we fix the money woes, we fix relationships too.

I learned that the hard way. For years I bought car after car, with loan after loan, trying to make life feel better. It only added stress. When we finally saved up, paid cash, and got down to no debt but our house, the peace was amazing. I hadn't realized how much stress I was carrying until it was gone.

I'm one of the few coaches who trained through Ramsey's financial coach program, and I've led several Financial Peace University classes at my church.

Here's what I learned from every class: one plan doesn't work for everybody. There's more than one way to find peace with your money, and I don't want anyone feeling like they're doing it wrong just because they aren't following one financial guru or another. Don't get me wrong: if FPU works for you, do it! If it doesn't, that's what I'm here for.

Whether you work with me one-on-one or join Grounds for Peace, there's no judgment here. Wherever you're starting from, I'll share the principles that can change your life. And if you choose one-on-one coaching, we'll build a game plan that fits your life.

I'm based in Mount Zion, Illinois, and I work with couples and single parents everywhere online.

Why "Paxway"? Pax means peace. Paxway is "the way of peace," inspired by Luke 1:79 (NIV): "to guide our feet into the path of peace." That's what I do: guide families from money stress to peace.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Is the Game Plan Call really free?

Yes. It's a free, no-obligation 20-minute call to see where you are and whether coaching is a good fit.

Which option is right for us?

If you want a plan built around your exact numbers and personal accountability, one-on-one coaching is the best fit. If you want to learn the basics with other families at a lower cost, start with Grounds for Peace. Not sure? That's what the free call is for.

What is Grounds for Peace?

It's a live, online small-group coaching membership that meets on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month at 10:00 AM Eastern (9:00 AM Central). Each time, we review the Bills, Buckets & Buying method, learn one money principle, and wrap up with a short Q&A. Each session builds on a different principle and stands on its own, so you can start your membership in any month.

Do you work with single parents?

Yes. I work with married couples and single moms and dads. If you're carrying every money decision on your own, you don't have to do it alone.

We've tried budgeting before and it didn't stick. Is this different?

Most budgets fail because they're too strict or take too much tracking. Bills, Buckets & Buying is built around your paycheck, so you don't have to log every purchase. We'll shape the plan around how your family actually lives.

Do we meet in person or online?

Everything is online through Google Meet, so we can work together from anywhere. Couples can join together from one device.

Do I need to share my account numbers or passwords?

Never. We work with estimates and round numbers. I'll never ask for account numbers, passwords, or Social Security numbers.

Are you a financial advisor?

No. I'm a financial coach. I'm in the business of transformation: transforming lives for the better. I help you build habits, make a plan, and stick to it. For investment, tax, or legal advice, I'll point you to a licensed professional.

What happens after the free call?

If one-on-one coaching is a good fit, the next step is a 2-hour Discovery Session where we build your personalized plan. If Grounds for Peace fits better, I'll help you get started there. Either way, you'll leave the call with a few helpful next steps.

How much does coaching cost?

It depends on the path you choose. Grounds for Peace costs less than one-on-one coaching. I'll walk you through the options and pricing on your free call, with no pressure.
